Useful guide, but more info available on trip advisor
Good for Budapest.
This book was quite good. We used it for a 4 day break to Budapest. But lacked hidden tips.
the definitive source to discovering true Budapest
Just recently returned from a three night stay in Budapest. The Rough Guide to Budapest was invaluable. Accurate in every aspect. Reading this prior to travelling and whilst in Budapest was a Bible and encyclopedic in the attention to detail. Maps very accurate, description of places and contents invaluable. So many hidden treasures within this rough guide to Budapest. Possibly the most exciting aspect was taking tram 56 and 61 from Szell Kalman Ter metro to Huvosvolgy to the Children's Railway. In addition able to discover hidden gems in Obuda and the roman ruins at Aquincum . This is a must for all travellers to Budapest. Well researched, easy to read and extremely useful. Best part of the book is that it fits into pocket and can be whipped out instantly if lost or seeking info regarding Budapest.. No online guide comes close to the beauty of a superb Rough guide series. Buy buy buy! Don't travel to Budapest without!
