Excellent guide
This is a very comprehensive guidebook, probably the best there is on Portugal. I really appreciated some of the information on more remote archaeological sites and some of the smaller towns. The only reason I have not given it 5* is because some of the maps need correcting. In some of the national parks roads marked did not correspond with what was there and some places in the town maps were not where they actually are. If these could all be checked as I suspect they are artist mistakes, it would be almost perfect.
Portugal is too big for one volume!
(This review is of the previous 2017 edition, bought October 2019, but these points probably haven't changed)
My main point is that pages are falling out - this should never happen in modern books that have been carefully handled! I'm a longstanding customer of Rough Guides but I'd be reluctant to buy more if print standards are slipping that much.
Portugal is (rightly) an increasingly popular place to go, and is too big a country for one volume - few people will travel all over, and you are carrying round a lot of weight you aren't using. More importantly, the bits you are using do not have nearly enough detail. Much better if broken into two, south (say Algarve up to Lisbon) and north.
Prompt service
Deciding where we are going to go once this 'lockdown' is over.
