Generic and not for backpackers on a budget.

All the information in this guide is generic and can be found on the internet. I used the Rough Guide books many years ago when I first started travelling and there were some great tips and great info about good local cafes, restaurants and bars that were aimed at backpackesrs. It's now aimed at much wealthier travellers and the info is so repetative and simply states the same rhetoric about a place to see. Wouldn't buy it again.

Excellent guide

This is a very comprehensive guidebook, probably the best there is on Portugal. I really appreciated some of the information on more remote archaeological sites and some of the smaller towns. The only reason I have not given it 5* is because some of the maps need correcting. In some of the national parks roads marked did not correspond with what was there and some places in the town maps were not where they actually are. If these could all be checked as I suspect they are artist mistakes, it would be almost perfect.
