Rough Guides are the best guide books

Used this to plan current holiday in Canada. Excellent and comprehensive guide book, easy and clear to follow. As with all guidebooks, some prices slightly out of date (and Covid has meant some changes to opening times etc) but gives a good indication of costs of attractions, accomodation and restaurants anyway.
