Beautiful book but outdated

There is no such thing as the convertible peso any more. This makes a very important part of travel to Cuba completely incorrect.
Other than that, a very good book.

Sent an edition that was completely out of date

I ordered this guidebook shortly before traveling to Cuba. Infuriatingly, I was sent an old edition, four years older than the one on sale and shown in the picture. As a result, many of the places in the guidebook had long since closed, and I lost countless hours traveling across Havana to discover the restaurant/shop/bar I was hoping to visit was no longer there. This kind of disreputable action would be annoying with any book, but with a gudebook, it really can mess your trip up. This is the first Amazon review I've ever written - that's how strongly I feel about this dubious transaction.

Avoid - they have ripped out itineraries

This is dreadful. Poor layout. Impossible to orient yourself. ROugh guide used to do examples of hour you could tour the place in 2 weeks or whatever. THey have completely removed them and asked you to click on their tailor made service. Complete rip off. WOuld suggest looking at the Guardian website and avoid or buy an older version
